The team will be the focus of Britain’s Ultimate Pilots: Inside the RAF on BBC2 at 9pm.

This year’s team, from 29(R) Squadron, comprised of a specialist from every aircraft trade along with support and management teams to assist both the pilot and the trades, all of whom have worked closely together to bring you the dazzling spectacle that is the Typhoon Display.

Display pilot Flt Lt Johney Dowen said, “It’s been a huge honour to have been the Typhoon Display Pilot for the 2015 season. To have been given the opportunity to showcase the jet at its very best has been a real privilege! It has been a very busy year but a hugely rewarding one and a great chance to engage with the public and share their passion for aviation.

“I hope that everyone has enjoyed the displays!”

A statement from RAF Coningsby, where the team is based, explained that the final programme shows what great support and dedication Jonny gets from his team and also the skill and superb training they all utilise to manage a very intense season.

It said: “Whilst it is the pilot who displays the aircraft, he cannot even begin to do his job without the unfaltering commitment and backing of the dedicated group of professionals that make up the Typhoon Display Team.”
