VIDEO: Paramedics treat elderly man who 'collapsed' on busy Worksop pedestrian crossing

Paramedics are treating an elderly man who is thought to have collapsed on a Worksop road this afternoon (Tuesday, January 18).

It is understood that the man had fallen off his mobility scooter into the road on a pedestrian crossing, located on Bridge Place.

The paramedics were called to the incident at approximately 4:15pm.

The man appeared to be conscious but was lying on the pavement in a state of shock as paramedics treated him.

A bystander who works on Bridge Place said she thought the man had been hit by a car at first, but then realised he “must have had a funny turn” when she saw a paramedic searching his bag for medication.

An update will follow.
