Hundreds of people lined streets in the town centre to watch a parade featuring many clubs and organisations.

The parade made its way to Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School playing fields where a fete was officially opened by MP Victoria Atkins.

Organisers were delighted with the success of the event, saying it had brought the entire community together.

The celebrations continued today with a Big Breakfast, a church service, a children’s street party and a fly past by the bbmf.
