Volunteers needed to help pupils read
Volunteers are needed for a project which gets people from the community to listen to children read on a one-to-one basis in local primary schools.
Schoolreaders is a service free to schools which was launched in Bedfordshire in 2013 with just 12 schools and now has more than 250 volunteers in 144 schools across the UK.
The aim is to support children by building their confidence and fluency in reading.
