War days remembered

Aston folk learned what life was like in the area during wartime at the weekend.

The event, organised by the Aston-cum-Aughton History Group, was held as part of the Heritage Open Days at the William Layne Reading Room on Aughton Lane.

Memorabilia from the local area during the two World Wars was on display for people to browse, along with general local history displays.
