Warning after rise in bike thefts in Skegness area

Twelve bikes have been stolen from in and around the Skegness area in the last two months.

They are as follows:

On October 4, a bicycle lock was cut from a bike that was secured at a school bike shed in Church Road, Skegness.

An offender removed a bike from outside a newsagent in Roman Bank, Skegness, in the early hours of October 4.

On October 6, a male offender removed a lock from a cycle parked next to railings before he made off on the bike. This happened on October 7.

On October 9, a bike was stolen in the early hours in South Parade in Skegness.

A bike was taken after its security lock was removed outside a shop in Richmond Drive in Skegness on October 10.

An offender removed a bicycle lock and removed a bike while it was left outside a shop in Richmond Drive in Skegness on October 10.

On October 11, an offender took a bike from bicycle sheds at Skegness Academy without permission.

An unlocked bike was removed from a bicycle shed in Church Road North, Skegness, sometime between October 11 and 12.

A bike, left unlocked at bike racks in Burgh Road on October 12, was stolen.

A high value mountain bike was taken from an unoccupied bungalow under renovation in Main Road, Mablethorpe on October 12. Access was gained via an opened window.

On October 12, an unlocked bike was stolen from bike racks in Burgh road, Skegness, on October 12.

An offender made off with a bike after cutting a lock of it in Burgh Road, Skegness on November 2.

In Church Road North, Skegness, a bike was stolen from a school bike rack after a lock was removed on October 31.

A bike was stolen from a communal laundry room of a block of flats in Thompson Close in Skegness on October 31.
