Wedding fayre in Worksop

Vintage cars, wedding singers, and bridal gowns will be the order of the day as Nottinghamshire County Council holds a wedding fayre in Worksop tomorrow (Saturday 6th October).

Brides and grooms to be – and their families – are invited to attend the free event at Worksop Registration Office, Memorial Avenue, next to the new library.

Visitors will be able to try out hair styles, listen to local musicians and find out about other wedding essentials including flowers, balloons, photographers and stationery.

People can also book their weddings with registrars on the day.

Models will also showcase bridal gowns during a fashion show at 12pm.

Jeanette Hall, Superintendent Registrar at Worksop Registration Office, said: “Our wedding fayre will give anyone organising a wedding or civil partnership the chance to see our fantastic modern venue. They can also find out about a range of wedding essentials provided by local businesses. “

“We think this will be a fantastic opportunity for people to come along, make some great contacts to organise their big day and have a bit of fun.”
