Welton marathon couple have poppy appeal in London
David Moulds was running in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, accompanied by his wife Michaela, and so far more than £2,000 has been raised.
The couple both finished with new personal bests and were also stopped and filmed for the BBC’s coverage.

“The race went much better than we thought; the only section we had problems with the wind blowing us back was at Tower Bridge, but that was where we stopped and talked to the BBC reporters.”
The couple were also filmed by the organisers of the marathon, Virgin Money, as well as the Royal British Legion’s fundraising teams.
They have received support from Lincoln’s Elite Fish and Chip Company too, who have chosen the Poppy Appeal as its charitable focus for 2016, with sponsorship of £1,000.
