The auction has been a popular ficture on the local calendar for the last 25 years with all money going to the church.

As ever, the sale was of locally-donated produce and cakes, most of it home-made or home-grown.

The local pub setting, along with the banter of auctioneer Ian Potter, helped create a great atmosphere and put people in a charitable frame of mind.

And a fine night was had by all again and organisers thanked all who donated, and staff at the Black Horse.
