Whitwell: Fond farewell to W.I. members

Each received a buxus plant at the group’s annual meeting last week, and members enjoyed a cake to celebrate. At the meeting a new president, secretary and treasurer were also chosen.

Meanwhile, the group’s annual coffee morning last month raised more than £140 for institute funds. Visitors took part in a raffle, bought homemade cakes and enjoyed delicious coffee.

The group meets on the second Monday in the month at Whitwell Community Centre at 7pm.
