Whitwell: £208 raised at Toddler’s Group’s first coffee morning

The morning was deemed a ‘great success’ by visitors- the raffle table groaned under the weight of the prizes on offer and the cake stall was loaded with delicious home-made baking for sale.

The event, which was well attended by the residents of Whitwell and the surrounding area, raised £208 for the Toddler Group funds- to be spent on new equipment and treats for the children.

The Toddler Group meets every Monday morning (term time only) in the Whitwell Community Centre from 9.30 – 11.00 am. Charges are £1.00 for adults and £1.50 for children over 1 year old.

A spokesperson said Mums. Dads, Grandparents and Carers were all welcome.
