The latest winner of the borough counci's £100 Floodline Lottery has said she will put the cash towards a Maine Coon - the largest breed of domestic cat.

Amanda Ashbrook lives near the River Nene in Long Sutton where flood waters have crept up to her front door in the past.

January’s floodline sponsor was Mark Leafe, of Boston-based flood protection company Lincs Flood Defence. Mark, who, since the 2013 deluge, has completed flood protection work on more than 100 properties, is now sponsoring the February Floodline Lottery.

Amanda won her £100 cash by simply submitting her details to the Floodline Lottery, agreeing to be signed up for automatic flood alert messages from the Environment Agency.
