The woman, said to be from the Sleaford area, was driving a grey Toyota Aygo near the Holdingham Roundabout when it was in collision with a black Audi A6 on Sunday, November 15 at around 10.23am.

After being taken to hospital with serious injuries, police announced yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) that she had sadly died.

The section of west bound dual carriageway was closed for much of the day following the collision until around 6pm as fire crews cut the roof off the Aygo to remove the injured woman.

The 45-year-old male driver of the Audi, from the Grantham area, was arrested at the scene for traffic offences and later released on bail. The investigation is on-going and officers continue to appeal for witnesses.
