Woman attacked in North Lincolnshire street

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw a man assaulting a woman in Scunthorpe’s Warwick Road.

The incident happened at around 5.25pm on Monday, August 3, when the victim was said to be attacked near to the alleyway by a man known to her.

The man is also said to have stolen her mobile phone.

A car containing a woman and a child stopped to offer the victim a lift, but she refused saying she did not wish to put them at risk, after the suspect became abusive towards them.

The altercation between the victim and the suspect continued in Cottage Beck Road, near the bookmakers.

At this point, the same vehicle is believed to have returned and again stopped to offer assistance the victim.

This time a man was travelling in the car and is said to have got out and confronted the suspect.

The suspect is described as white and pushing a bike. He wore a red baseball cap, two jackets – one cropped in navy, and the second grey, with long sleeves – grey tracksuit bottoms and white Nike trainers.
