The motorcyclist, ‎Jayde Summerson, turned to Facebook to thank members of the public who stopped to help her after the accident.

She says: “Lots of ladies and a truck driver stopped, sat with me for over an hour and a half waiting for an ambulance in freezing weather and on the freezing cold ground.

“They even gave me the coats off their backs to keep me warm, held my hands, talked to me to keep me conscious and wiped away my many tears.

“Unfortunately I was carted off in an ambulance before I could get any names, so if you are the people who stopped. Thankyou. I owe you my life. I appreciated your kind words and your kinder generosity then and now. Thankyou.”
