Woman sold drugs to fund ‘terrible addiction’

Danielle Pryor, 26, of Cannon Mews, was selling amphetamine to fund her own ‘terrible addiction,’ Nottingham Crown Court was told.

Judge Joan Butler said it was a serious offence but at the lower end of the scale and Pryor needed help.

Police officers went to her home on 26th April after receiving information she was involved in supplying drugs, the court heard.

She produced a syringe and five deal bags were found in her dressing gown.

Also discovered was £25 worth of amphetamine, electronic scales and a dealer’s list on a notepad as well as text messages on her phone relating to drugs.

She said she had been dealing for three months, buying at a reduced rate and selling at £10 a time.

She pleaded guilty to supplying the class B drug and possession with intent to supply. She had previous convictions but nothing for drugs.

Her barrister Sarah Munro said she had not been in trouble now for some time.

The sentence was a 12 months community order with probation supervision and nine months drug rehabilitation.
