Woman who stabbed partner discharged

The court heard how Rachel Hedley, 25, of Eskdale Drive, had been prevented from self-harming by her partner following an argument when the incident took place.

Prosecutor Ruth Snowin said Hedley was immediately shocked at what she had done and was extremely sorry.

The court heard how Hedley was depressed and was at a low point in her life.

The bench said that, as the couple remained together and were working through their issues, no additional punishment was necessary.
