The following people from the Worksop and Retford areas have recently appeared before the courts.

ASSAULT

Lee Ireland, 24, of Holmes Road, Retford. Assaulted a woman by beating her. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months. Restraining order made. Also ordered to pay £150 in court costs, an £80 victim surcharge and £50 in compensation to the victim.

Thomas Hunt, 23, of The Croft, Worksop. Assaulted a woman by beating her. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 18 months.

Arran Uzsoy, 21, of Church Street, Langold. Assaulted a woman by beating her. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months.

James Wilson, 39, of Foxglove Grove, Worksop. Assaulted a man by beating him. Committed to prison for four weeks suspended for 12 months. Also ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge and £50 in compensation.

Jonathan Duckmanton, 19, of Westfield Drive, Worksop. Stole a petrol can, of a value unknown. Fined £50. Also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150, £51 in court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Diane Hindley, 45, of Beechways, Retford. Stole alcohol, to the value of £20, belonging to Aldi. Fined £25. Also ordered to pay £20 in compensation.

Matthew Kennedy, 39, of NFA. Stole bottles of alcohol, to the value of £3, belonging to Aldi. Community order made with drug rehabilitation requirement. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

MOTORING

Anthony Oakden, 25, of Dorchester Road, Worksop. Having been required by or on behald of the chief officer for Notts Police, failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver or a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Disqualified from driving for nine months. Fined £660. Also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £66.

Ryan Baines, 19, of Lincoln Street, Worksop. Drove a motor vehicle without a driving licence or insurance. Driving record endorsed with eight points. Fined £140. Also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150, £35 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Agnieszka Jarzebowksa, 41, of Gateford Road, Worksop. Speeding. Driving record endorsed with three points. Fined £130. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Ryan Mccusker, 27, of Hereford Close, Worksop. Failed, without reasonable excuse, to comply with a direction given to him by section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 in that he failed to leave the locaility specified, namely Mansfield town centre. Fined £50. Also ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge and a £20 victim surcharge.

Paul Lomas, 28, of Grove Street, Retford. Had contact with a woman by regularly staying at her house when prohibited from doing so by a restraining order. Committed to prison for 10 weeks. Also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150 and a victim surcharge of £80.

Carla Parrish, 28, of Hardwick Road East, Worksop. Without reasonable excuse, had an open vessel of alcohol within the exclusion area of which you were prohibited from doing so by a criminal behaviour order. Committed to prison for four weeks suspended for 12 months. Must also pay a criminal courts charge of £150 and an £80 victim surcharge.

DISORDER

Anne-Marie Thompson, 20, of Strawberry Road, Retford. Used towards other people threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause those persons to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them. Committed to detention in a young offender’s institution for three weeks. Also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £150 and an £80 victim surcharge.
