Worksop: Anti-incinerator group gets support from the public
Worksop Against Incineration were out in force at Worksop market last weekend getting people to sign their petition against the building of a Waste Incinerator on the site of the old recycling centre on Shireoaks Road.
“Lots of people stopped to sign and many left their email addresses asking for more information,” said a spokesman.
“Overall, people just didn’t know anything about this proposal and were shocked to hear what was going on.”
“No-one said that they wanted it to come to Worksop. Everyone was against it.”
