A car, thought to be a blue Ford, struck the rear wheel of his bike sending him crashing to the floor.

He suffered injuries to his arm but fortunately was not seriously hurt.

The car drove down Sunfield Avenue without stopping.

PC Greg Harden from Worksop Police Station has appealed for the driver, or anyone who saw what happened, to call him direct.

“The motorist may not have realised what he did but I cannot stress how easily this collision could have caused serious injuries to the cyclist, who was just left at the scene,” said PC Harden.
