The free Young Carers Bitesize conference in Worksop is the first of a series of conferences across Notts to focus on the health and wellbeing of young carers.

The event will feature a short presentation on assessing young carers’ needs and transitioning from being a young carer to an adult carer.

Young people will also have a chance to speak about the challenges in their role as a young carer and what support they require.

Alison Duckers, community & partnerships worker for children and young people, said: “It is important that young carers do not feel isolated due to lack of support or information and lose out on the opportunities that others have in their age group.”
