Worksop: Christmas arrives at Bassetlaw Hospital

Christmas got underway at Bassetlaw Hospital this week with the switching on of the Christmas tree lights, starting the festive season at the hospital.

Chairman Chris Scholey turned the lights on with the help of the children from Norbridge Primary School in Worksop.

Reverend Simon Russell, hospital chaplain, welcomed the children and guests and blessed the tree.

Norbridge School choir then sang a selection of carols to staff, patients and visitors. Everyone was then invited to the hospital chapel for a special performance by the choir, followed by refreshments and mince pies.
