Worksop: Christmas Day baby joy for Manton mother

An overjoyed Manton woman was given the best gift of all with the arrival of her baby on Christmas Day.

23-year-old Lauren Johnson gave birth to a 5lb 3 1/2 oz baby girl at 10.52 am on 25th December at Bassetlaw Hospital.

Holly is Lauren’s first child and is being cared for in the special care baby unit at the hospital.

Another baby girl named Norah was also born on Christmas Day at the hospital at 4.54pm. She weighed 8ib 10oz and was the perfect gift to Ivan and Elaine Cannon from Creswell.

Lauren and Holly were reunited for a picture with the special permission of SCBU staff.

Lauren told the Guardian: “I am really happy and pleased. I just can’t wait to get back home with her now!”
