Worksop: Drink driver escapes jail despite being caught a second time
Paul Battersby, of Prospect Precinct, Worksop, pleaded guilty back on 9th December last year to driving a vehicle when over the legal alcohol limit.
Battersby, aged 51, appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 3rd July to be sentenced for the offence.

Hide AdThe magistrates were told he had been arrested after police saw him driving erratically.
He was spotted heading towards Cannon Crossroads at 10pm on the night of the offence.
Battersby, who had a previous conviction for drink driving, was given a 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for 12 months.
The court also handed him an alcohol treatment requirement of six months.
He was disqualified from driving for three years, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80, costs of £50 and a court charge of £150 when he appeared before magistrates in Mansfield.
