Worksop: Drivers likely to face disruption and delays as road closes for a week

Drivers in Worksop are likely to face delays and disruption next week as the A60 Carlton Road will be closed from its junction with B6045 Blyth Road for a distance of 255 metres in a northerly direction.

The closure is for resurfacing works and the restrictions will be in place from 9am to 5pm each day from next Monday (18th August) to Friday (22nd August).

This means the closures will be coming into force towards the end of the morning rush hour and at the start of the evening rush hour.

The alternative route during closure periods will be along the B6045 Blyth Road, the B6041 Thievesdale Lane and the A60 Carlton Road and vice-versa.

As well as motorists, the closure will affect rail passengers as the closure point is close to the station and see increased traffic on surrounding roads.

The County Council are urging people to allow more time for their journeys throughout next week.
