Worksop: Easter egg hunt is part of charity fun day in the town

Worksop charity Aurora is co-ordinating a special Easter Egg Hunt in Canch Park in the town as part of an Easter Fun Day.

From 11am to 3pm on Sunday, 13th, April, everyone is welcome to come down to the charity’s Wellbeing Centre in the Old Library Building on Memorial Avenue for some family fun.

As well as the Easter Egg Hunt there will be stalls, games, face-painting, food and live entertainment.

Children aged 0-12 years-old are invited to participate in the Easter Colouring Competition to win some egg-cellent prizes kindly donated by Asda.

Colouring sheets are now on sale at 20p each from the Aurora Wellbeing Centre in Canch Park and the Halifax Bank on Bridge Street, and will also be available on the day.

Entries will be judged in three different age group categories by staff from Halifax Bank and Aurora volunteers.

Come along to Valerie’s Tearoom for a special Easter menu of light refreshments including sandwiches, hot cross buns and homemade cakes.

Local stallholders will be offering a variety of handcrafted cakes, natural beauty products, flowers and other Easter gift ideas.

The Centre’s charity shop will also be open as usual selling clothes, accessories, jewellery, books and bric-a-brac.
