Worksop: Find out how you could help the Royal British Legion

in the Bassetlaw area and to assist with the 2014 Poppy Appeal.

The work of The Royal British Legion (RBL) is needed as much now as it was when it was founded in 1921 with £1.6m being spent on welfare per week to help serving and ex-service personnel and their families.

There are many ways that the RBL give help from assisting people in finding jobs when they come out of the services to providing respite and rehabilitation for injured personnel returning from Afghanistan.

Help is available in times of need for the rest of their life.

There are numerous ways that the RBL support the families of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, such as helping bereaved families through the inquest process, financial support and having a friend to turn to in their hour of need.

The local branch is looking for new members who are prepared to help in raising the profile of the RBL in the Bassetlaw area and to assist with the 2014 Poppy Appeal. You do not have to be ex-services to become a member of the Royal British Legion or be a volunteer.
