Worksop: Gardens host cider festival

Cider fans will be able to enjoy a range of draught ciders from across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland during a Worksop pub’s cider festival.

The festival will take place at The Liquorice Gardens on Newcastle Street from Friday July 11th until Saturday July 27th inclusive.

The pub are offering a range of ciders over the 17 days, including some never previously available, whilst others have been produced exclusively for the festival.

The selection will feature apple, pear and fruit ciders.

They include award-winning ciders, together with those with unusual flavours; beetroot, rhubarb, ginger and chilli, apple and raspberry and whisky cask cider.

Among those on offer are; Boxing Dog (Mr Whitehead’s Cider Co), Somerset Tree Shaker (Shepton Mallet Cider Mill), Hogfather (Orchard Pig), Doctors Orders (Green Valley Cider Ltd), Pear Shaped (Sandford Orchards) and Whisky Cask (Thistly Cross Cider).

The ciders will be available at £2.35 a pint.

Pub manager, James Nott, said: “Cider is the perfect summer drink and I am certain that people will enjoy our fantastic selection.

“The ciders have been sourced from across the UK and there is something to suit all palates.”
