The 57-year-old, who is chairman of aircraft dealership Aeris Aviation, which is running the Knightsbridge pop-up store, is an experienced pilot with around 7,000 flying hours under his belt.

The shop is selling special-edition private jets, including One Aviation Eclipse 550 jets for £2.2m, which can fly at altitudes of up to 41,00 feet at a max cruise of 430mph.

The jets are on sale in the pop-up until the end of August.

Just recently the Guardian reported that Dickinson had to perform an emergency landing after a low fuel scare. The rocker had to divert his Fokker Triplane into RAF Hampton, Buckinghamshire, to the surprise of personnel at the base.

Dickinson is currently recovering from throat cancer after two tumours were found at the back of his tongue earlier this year.
