Worksop Light Operatic Society produces smash-hit concert

Musical Memories provided a great evening’s entertainment for sell-out audiences, which led to the society being able to donate over £1,000 to the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Emma Vizor, a fundraiser for Bluebell Wood, attended a recent rehearsal to receive the cheque on behalf of the hospice.

She said: “Without donations such as this, the hospice would not be able to continue to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families from across the local area.”

“A big thank you to the society and all who donated at the concert for their generosity.”

The Society members are now rehearsing for ‘Puss in Boots’, to be held at the Acorn Theatre from 13th to 18th January 2015.
