Worksop man admits assault

A WORKSOP man has been ordered to do unpaid work after admitting assaulting his girlfriend.

Alex Locke, 28, of Westway, appeared before Worksop Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The court heard he kicked at his girlfriend on 29th November as she tried to get car keys off him outside their home.

David Verity, defending, told the court that the couple were hoping to resume their relationship once the court case was over.

Locke was given a 16 month community order with supervision, along with 100 hours of unpaid work. He will also pay court costs of £120.
