Worksop: Man charged with stealing tools and champagne

A Worksop man has appeared at court charged with a string of offences including allegedly stealing tools and champagne.

Danny Emmerson, 28, of Gateford Road, pleaded not guilty at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Friday 27th March.

He allegedly stole two Dewalt drills to the value of £190 belonging to B&Q on 28th January 2015, two aluminium tool sets to the value of £160 from Halfords on 1st March 2015, a bottle of champagne valued at £30 from Sainsbury’s on 8th March 2015 and meat and tablets to the value unknown from Sainsbury’s on 18th March 2015.

Mr Emmerson is also charged with theft by finding of tools to the value of £1,214 from GD Engineering and dishonestly assisting in the retention, removal, disposal, or realisation of stolen goods, namely a car key to a Vauxhall Astra to the value unknown belonging to a woman, by or for the benefit of another or dishonestly arranged to do so, knowing or believing the same to be stolen between 25th January and 28th January 2015.

The case was adjourned until Thursday 2nd April 2015 at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court.
