Worksop: Man had stun gun disguised as a torch

A Worksop man accused of having a stun gun disguised as a torch has had his court chase adjourned for a month.

Experts are examining the gun and depending on the outcome Jonathan Simpson could be facing an automatic five-year prison sentence if convicted.

The 33-year-old, of Grafton Street, is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

It is alleged the gun was found in the glove compartment of his car in Sandy Lane, Worksop, on 1st February this year.

At Nottingham Crown Court on Friday Judge John Milmo bailed him until 20th June, when he will be expected to enter his plea.
