Worksop: Man rescued from Worksop fire

Emergency services were called to Clinton Street shortly before 5am.

They rescued a 37-year-old man from the downstairs of the property. Another man had escaped before fire crews arrived. Both men were taken to hospital.

Firefighters also found a dog dead inside the property.

Crews were at the scene for over an hour.

Notts Police and the fire service have launched a joint investigation into the cause of the blaze.
