It has something for children of all ages, including an Olympic basket swing, a slide, a multi-sports arena and a slide.

Bassetlaw District Councillor, Josie Potts, who has been one of the driving forces behind the project, said: “This has been my dream for many years to have a play area like this for local kids. It’s absolutely great.”

“There are too many roads to cross to get to existing play areas so this is a park that has been very much needed for many years.”

The play area has been funded by a Supporting Local Communities grant, which includes contributions from Nottinghamshire County Council, Bassetlaw District Council, A1 housing and donations from the community.
