Worksop: Manufacturer moves to town after big cash injection

An outdoor products designer and manufacturer has relocated to Worksop and tripled the size of its headquarters - with new jobs set to be created.

Kybotech Ltd makes and designs garden furniture, outdoor buildings, toys and barbeques, and sells its products to customers across the country through its online stores Garden Buildings Direct and RedShed, and through national retailers such as Argos and Tesco.

The business has now moved from its old premises near Newark to a new 350,000 sq ft building on Dukeries Industrial Estate in Worksop.

The site includes a warehouse, head office and planning permission to develop a manufacturing facility on site. Once open, it is set to create a number of new jobs.

Charles Walton, CEO at Kybotech, said: “The growing popularity of online shopping along with increased movement in the property market has resulted in significant growth for the business, and it was clear that a larger premises was necessary to allow us to keep up with client demand.”

“The new building is ideally located near to the M1 and A1 road links, giving us excellent transport links to distribute to our customer base across the UK. The support of Lloyds Bank has helped us to move from rented premises and buy our own space, and having all our facilities on one site will make a positive environmental and logistical impact.”
