Worksop murder update: Two more arrests made

Officers investigating the death of Worksop man Glen Kitchens have made two further arrests.

Today (Monday 8th April) two boys aged 15 and 14 were arrested on suspicion of murder.

It comes after the 40-year-old was assaulted in Bridge Street at the junction with Central Avenue and Ryton Street, at about 7.30pm on Saturday 6th April.

He was taken to Bassetlaw Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination has concluded that Mr Kitchens died from head trauma.

Three 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were arrested at the weekend.

Officers have today been granted extensions to detain them in custody until tomorrow (Tuesday 9th April).

In total six teenagers have been arrested and are in police custody.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses.
