Worksop: New look for Bassetlaw Mind

Bassetlaw Mind, on Hardy Street, was previously painted entirely in magnolia after it was flooded when a nearby canal burst its banks. Many of Bassetlaw Mind’s members mentioned the centre would benefit from a more vibrant look, which in turn could help them too.
The centre was painted by a team of 20 volunteers to create an appropriate atmosphere in each room. The paint was donated by Dulux Decorator Centres in Mansfield after the centre was nominated.

Hide AdCentre coordinator, Nicola Rea said: “For somebody seeking support, first impressions are so important – especially if they are suffering from anxiety, depression, stress or other mental health issues. We are really pleased with our centre’s new look because we think it is really welcoming.”
“Our members are thrilled with the revamp too, with many commenting on the positive effect it has had on them.”
Richard Wiles, store manager of Dulux Decorator Centres on Bridge Street, said: “Bassetlaw Mind does vital work supporting local people, so we’re really happy that the paint we donated has had a positive impact.”
“The colours they’ve used have created a really uplifting atmosphere that could reassure people seeking support.”
