Worksop: Prescription medication stolen from car

Prescription medication has been stolen from a car in Worksop.

Police say it happened in Clumber Park between 3.15pm and 4pm on Wednesday, 15th January when the window of a black Volvo was smashed.

A black laptop style briefcase containing medication and prescription dockets was taken.

Sergeant Mark Lee said: “This is a very serious matter as there is a real danger that someone could come to serious harm if they use the medication when they have not been prescribed it.

“We would urge anyone who has seen the briefcase or finds its contents to call us immediately.”

The incident comes in the wake of a bag containing prescription drugs being stolen on a train from Langold to Nottingham last week.
