The event was part of the Masons’ overall bid to raise money to buy a cancer scanner for the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
The quiz night made a successful contribution to that cause by raising £670 on the evening.
A spokesman for the Masons said: “It is the intention of Nottinghamshire Masons to raise £45,500 to enable them to present to Queen’s Medical Hospital a Duplex Ultra Sonic Scanner – a Doppler.”
“This machine is used in the detection and elimination of liver and pancreatic cancer cells.”
“It will benefit residents of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.”
