Worksop: Secrets revealed at Mr Straw’s House

However, with a number of upcoming events, the public are being invited to come and discover what goes on inside.

On 11th and 18th September, the secrets of the sites’ conservation team will be laid bare.

The team usually perform their work behind closed doors once visiting hours are over, but for two Wednesdays they will open their doors to visitors.

The sessions will run from 11am-4pm, with normal admission fees applying.

Booking is essential for both days, so call early to avoid disappointment.

On Thursday 12th September, the house will host an early taste of the festive season with Florence Straw’s Christmas pudding preparationsfrom 11am-4pm. Adult tickets cost £6.90, children£3.50 and a family ticket £17.30. To book, call 01909 482380.
