Worksop: Selfless Charlotte shaves her hair off for charity

Brave Charlotte Whiteley has a brand new look after shaving off her long locks to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Charlotte Whiteley (22) from Worksop had a Her head shaved for Macmillan Nurses charity.
The hair loss took place at Restyle Hairdressers on Potter street, Worksop.
Denise Wheatcroft, Mother of Salon owner Shelley Wheatcroft took the shears to Charlotte's locks, after Charlotte made the first cut herself.
A crowd of Friends, Relatives & work colleagues gathered to watch the event.
A hug from her Fiance Mark Wilson, helped a tearful Charlotte cope with what she had done.

The big shave took place at Restyle Hairdressers on Potter street, Worksop, with Denise Wheatcroft taking the shears to Charlotte’s hair after the 22-year-old made the first cut herself.

A crowd of friends, relatives and work colleagues gathered to watch the event and a hug from fiance Mark Wilson helped a tearful Charlotte come to terms with her new hairstyle.

Charlotte told the Guardian: “I don’t think many girls want to have their hair shaved off but I have raised more than £1,100 for Macmillan which makes it worth it.

“My Grandad, who had cancer, passed away four years ago. The Macmillan nurses were amazing with him and I wanted to give something back.”
