Worksop set for massive jobs boost after plans for two new supermarkets get go ahead

Ambitious plans which could create up to 1,000 jobs and a new home for Worksop Town have been given the green light.

Bassetlaw Councillors voted for the regenerations of the former Vesuvius site on Sandy Lane which will boast a 5,500 sq metre supermarket.

In an eventful evening, the planning committee also gave the nod to proposals for a supermarket of similar size at the former Seafields site on Kilton Road.
