Worksop: Trial of ‘manslaughter’ teen postponed

The trial of a Worksop teenager accused of manslaughter has been postponed until October.

The 16-year-old, who can not be named for legal reasons, was due to stand trial on Monday 2nd September.

He is accused of manslaughter following the death of Worksop window fitter Glen Kitchens on Saturday 6th April this year.

Mr Kitchens, 40, of the Sunnyside area of Worksop, was allegedly attacked and assaulted in Bridge Street at its junction with Central Avenue.

The teenager, who is currently remanded at a detention facility, will appear for trial at Nottingham Crown Court on 21st October 2013.
