Consisting of over 38 traders and an ornate vintage tearoom, Carlton House promises to offer visitors a place to learn new skills, buy and sell items and be part of a creative community.

Louise Anderson, 35, from Sheffield, set up the craft centre after ‘falling in love’ with the Grade II listed building, which were previously used by Bassetlaw Council.

She said: “It was the perfect building for my business, really beautiful- with dramatic features, an internal courtyard and stables.”

“We have everthing from handmade crafts to up-cycled furniture, vintage crockery, original artwork, handpicked gifts and bespoke jewellery.”

“It is my aim to support new businesses in taking their first step in the industry, and create a positive and exciting experience for the residents of Worksop.”

Louise added that the centre is ‘proving very popular’ among residents, who have taken a particular shine to the vintage tearoom which sells a variety of snacks and cakes and is ‘filling up daily.’
