Crews from Worksop Fire Station attended the scene of an accident where three people had a lucky escape.

Their car had overturned on the A634 Blyth Road between Oldcotes to Blyth at around 9am.

All three occupants - two males and a female - managed to get out of the car.

Police and ambulance workers also attended. One male was taken to hospital with suspected whiplash.

Firefighters made the vehicle safe and assisted the ambulance service.

A fire station spokesman said: “We would ask drivers to be aware of the road conditions when it has been raining.”

“With the weather we have had recently the roads are very wet and there can be flooding or standing water on the surface.”

“Please take extra care and drive appropriately to the conditions.”
