Worksop: WIN family cinema tickets on Savoy’s second birthday
Sunday 23rd March marks two years since the six screen multiplex opened its doors to film fans.
And to show its thanks to you, the public, the Savoy is giving away five family cinema tickets .
Savoy general manager Wayne Gregory said: “It could not be going any better up here at the Savoy.”
“We started with just films then launched the kids’ club, Playstation and X-box parties and now we’re seeing a huge demand for our live events.”
“Our Christmas broadcast of an André Rieu concert and the live performance of War Horse from the National Theatre were amazing successes.”
“We’ve got a packed programme of live events booked right they way through until September.”
“War Horse the encore is returning this Sunday and again on 3rd April. And we’ll have another André Rieu concert in July.”
“There’s loads or theatre, opera and ballet in between, from Broadway’s Romeo and Juliet to King Lear, Sleeping Beauty Live and Marco Spada live from Moscow.”
“We are going from strength to strength. And the reason for that is the people of Worksop are supporting us.”
“We think we offer a more customer focused cinema experience than some of the bigger multiplexes.”
“When you are competing against cinemas showing the same films that’s the only difference you can offer.”
“Worksop is just missing a Pizza Hut or Frankie and Benny’s up this end of town to complete the whole experience of going for a day or a night out in town.”
“I hope the council can attract a place like that. But for now we’ll keep pulling in customers with our friendly staff and great films and events.”
