Spring Show - The early spring sunshine enjoyed recently has encouraged the daffodils to brighten up the days and they also serve as a reminder of the spring shows to be held locally.

The Community Gardening Club members’ show takes place in the town hall this Saturday, March 25, with classes for daffodils, both in pots and cut specimens, together with cut mixed flowers and pot plants.

The hall will open at 10.30am for viewing when everyone is invited to go along and enjoy a cup of coffee and admire the displays.

The Primary School and the Scout troop are exhibiting this year too.

Family bingo - Happy birthday was sung to Ann Wilson and ‘Digger’ Cheetham at the recent bingo session.

The event also raised £120.10, including a tombola, for the town hall refurbishing fund and thanks go to all who gave their support.
