Council - The parish council annual meeting will be held in the town hall this Monday, May 9, starting at 7.30pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and during the fifteen minute open session can raise issues of interest in the parish and ask questions.

The formal meeting of the council will open at 7.30pm, when the first item on the agenda will be the election of a chairman.

Town Hall - The Town Hall Management Committee Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday May 16 at 7.30pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and hear the annual reports and to give their support to the hall committee, which provides these facilities for the town and surrounding district to enjoy.

The hall is in almost constant use for social and fundraising events, but like all buildings does need regular maintenance in addition to the general running costs and the support of the public is always appreciated.

Bingo - Saturday Night Family Bingo sessions continue to give a welcome boost to the hall refurbishing fund and the next is on May 14.

It is eyes down at 7.30pm for some good cash prizes, with a raffle and refreshments too.

There is also a weekly Thursday night adult only bingo session, with eyes down at 8pm.

Disability outing - The sun shone beautifully for the first of the monthly coach outings arranged for members of the Wragby branch of Disability Lincs and many of them took advantage of an away day to Dobbie’s Garden Centre at Barleborough.

Several family members and friends accompanied them as companions or wheel chair pushers.

It was a lovely day to stroll outdoors make purchases from the range of shops, as well as looking round the vast indoor garden centre area, before boarding the bus for the homeward journey.
