Youngsters perform at Maltby singing event

Youngsters from the academy’s feeder schools came together for a special signing event just before they broke up for the summer holidays.

The academy played host as the Maltby learning community performed for the SING Jubilee Event.

Students from all the primary schools, Maltby Academy and Hilltop Special School showcased their talents to parents, carers, staff and the community, who came to watch them.

The event was split into two parts to accommodate all the children who were performing.

Three schools performed late afternoon, before another three performed around 7pm.

Assistant principal of Maltby Academy Jan Maxted said it was a fantastic celebration event.

She added: “All the students have been working really hard and it was nice for them to come and perform at the Academy in front of their parents and students from other schools.”
